What are the buzzwords we are hearing the most now? Strong immunity! And that does not build itself overnight, it’s actually years of perseverance and self-love. It’s teamwork of superfoods and a healthy lifestyle, maybe even drinking an immune-boosting smoothie. We are in the middle of an ominous global pandemic and the situation is such that we could imagine a personified Immunity standing in front of us, staring and saying, “I told you I’m important!”
Tell me folks, what could be a better way to start the day other than a breakfast smoothie which gives a powerful immunity shot to your system and sets you up for the day. Did you ask what options you have? Endless I would say. It could be ginger, spinach, carrots, pineapple, mangoes, kale, a pinch of turmeric or root, citrus, banana, and the list goes on. A smoothie is where you can get really creative. It’s your canvas, paint it with a combination of frozen berries and yogurt or maybe kale and other greens, pineapple {add whatever fruit you want, could be banana or mango}, chia seeds and pour in almond milk for perfection.
You know what, smoothies might not help you to get better when you fall sick. But if you are a smoothie ‘drinker’ you would have slowly built your immunity system. How? Ingredients
- 3 Oranges
- 1 Banana
- 1+1/2 TSP Ginger {minced}
- 1/2 TSP Turmeric Powder {another super-additive famous for bolstering immunity, a small pinch goes a long way}
- 1 Cup Pineapple
Instructions
- Just pour everything into your blender and there you go! The only tip here would be if you want to add any milk or yogurt, add that after you have blended all the other elements, and keep adding the milk till you've reached your desired consistency.I prefer frozen fruits over ice cubes. A quick tip here, you could add frozen milk or yogurt cubes into your smoothie to dodge the extra ‘wateriness’ when the ice cube melts.
